marley + 6

well, our first pet didn't last long. with the purchase of four mouse traps (two violent ones, two children friendly ones) we have killed marley and six of his family members. some of them have been emotional deaths, scarring mainly for brockie who had to physically assist in the death of one of them. but, we are happy to report we are mouse free for a day now. and we are thrilled. i would like to introduce you to our next (future) pet!

we may just name him marley as well. in other news, i bought flowers, made cookies, got a job at OC tanner, and ate a delicious sandwich for lunch. i would like to specially emphasize how classy mom, dad, and justin all look in their european photos. way to represent. i would also like to recognize my lack of capitalization and paragraph separation, i do that for you justin. also, i would like to officially schedule our next google plus date. i'm free anytime! and maybe, if you're lucky, one of our pet mice will show up in a trap and i can show them off. peace and blessings, ya'll (shout out to my kentucky state woo woo)

marley...dies

you see, this would initially be such an excitement. imagine our joy when the fear of us ran marley into one of our traps and snapped his little life away(quickly and painlessly). but, imagine our fear as we discover little marley-nator was smart enough to lick the peanut butter of ALL our traps and was just luckily scared into one.

now it doesn't stop there. marley has reproduced. (woo woo reproduction) now this isn't like the good kind, not like human reproduction, this is like the bad kind, like infestation of our area, yo. marley has some playmates, so far two that we have caught and conquered. we're going to see how many more this week we can capture! hopefully this ends eventually otherwise we'll concede to marley and move our belongings out of his face.

good thing brockie doesnt mind throwing dead mice into our dumpster. that gets a husband award fo sho.

also real life update: i'm in kentucky with stephy (sister), brockie is in utah with marley + playmates. i miss him he misses me we're a happy family.

Marley

Marley is our first official pet!

Now, I don't believe Marley is this cute or this friendly. I actually imagine him to be fairly scraggly with demon eyes planning the next best step to torment us.

Marley has made himself quite at home in our cozy little basement apartment. He likes to snuggle under the fridge, under the stove, under the sink, basically anywhere that is dark and warm! And he likes to make sure that we know he is there. Don't worry Marley, we know.

Now as much as we do love Marley we hope to see the end of him soon, in a humane way of course. The broomstick clearly won't do it since it broke tonight, our first casualty of war with Marley. I guess we'll have to just revert back to the hockey stick, hopefully it won't break with impact.

*Marley is not to be confused with the adorable yet wild puppy seen on Marley & Me. He just happened to be discovered on the same day I made brockie watch the movie. (thanks Owen and Jennifer for the inspiration!)
